RuggaMatrix® is hosted by Djuro Sen, a broadcaster, journalist, photographer, multimedia and new media specialist.Djuro has been podcasting for five years and pioneered online content as the Waratahs and Wallabies media manager over eight seasons.
Djuro is often referred to as Bronk or Bronco during the show. It’s a nickname from his playing days when rugby league journeyman Bronco Djura played in Sydney.
Mark Cashman is co-host of the show and he brings a wealth of knowledge to the panel. He’s editor of Australia’s premier rugby magazine, Inside Rugby, and the Wallabies and Waratahs official match programmes.
Mark says he’s a veteran of hundreds of games with Norths in Sydney and is more fondly known as ‘Cabana Bar’, ‘Casho’, ‘Pinky’, ‘Crusher’ and ‘Cashcow’.
Why not try a counting game with Casho’s go to lines? For example ‘look’ … ’sort of’ and ‘absolutely’. There’s fun for everyone.
Les Kiss was co-host of the popular Waratahs podcast Tah Talk during its three year reign over the rugby podcasting world. Les was the Tahs defence coach for six years and the Springboks before that.
Of course Les was a legendary winger in rugby league playing for the North Sydney Bears, Queensland in state of origin and Australia in internationals.
Now Les is the defence coach for the Ireland national team. He also oversees defence for the provinces. He’s known as one of the great thinkers in either code and he must be. How else could a winger be defence coach!
Keep an ear out for name dropping with Les. He’s an expert at it, although it might not be as worthwhile as Casho’s counting game.
Ewen McKenzie is arguably Australia’s greatest ever tighthead prop and it’s with enormous pride that we confirm him as the fourth member of the RuggaMatrix panel.
Ewen is currently the head coach of the Queensland Reds after returning from France and a season with Paris club Stade Francais. He turned the Waratahs into a tough outfit during his five years as head coach in Sydney. Before that he was coaching coordinator for the Wallabies under Eddie Jones and Rod Macqueen.
Ewen was also assistant coach of the Brumbies in their early years of super rugby. There are few better rugby brains.
